Words to Bring Us Together

Even in the hardest of times, the power of friendship can unite us, no matter how far apart. When women unite and support each other, that love and companionship can spread across the globe. This Valentine’s Day, the women we serve are lifting each other up through these difficult times because when we support each other, we support our world.

With COVID-19 keeping us apart, it is easy to lose sight of our connections; however, the power of communication can keep us close together. To celebrate our global friendships, we are sharing messages from our participants showing how your connection and support can go a long way. Thank you for keeping us connected to women everywhere.

Dear Sister,

How are you over there? I am so happy with my classes. I have learned a lot from Women for Women International especially about health, how to be a good teacher, and also how to manage my household resources. I have been happy learning to bake, the vocational skill I chose. I am very sure it’s going to help me a lot after graduation. The stipend has also helped me to save and start a small business. Thank you, my sister and Women for Women International. We are gaining knowledge and skills in South Sudan.

I’m very pleased with my trainings. My trainers taught us about being healthy and how to run a business to support ourselves. Your support for us has helped me save money for my plans after graduation: I am going to open my own baking business in Yei in South Sudan! May God bless you.

I appreciate your support. Together with the great training we received, I have used the stipend to start a business and build my savings. Having a way to earn my own money is better than when I had to beg.I hope to keep my business going and eventually expand it by making bricks, laying them, but also selling them.  God bless you.

Greetings, my friend. I am happy to be a member of Women for Women International. I have learned a lot of skills and gained knowledge in health and business. Most women here live in poverty, but with this training, I am now able to support my children. Thanks for the money you sent. After this training, I want to open my business and keep on saving.
