Stories of Courage
On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Women for Women International celebrated International Women’s Day with an evening of storytelling from courageous women from around the world. Guests enjoyed stories from our incredible speakers about the pivotal moments in their life when they had to overcome great adversity to become agents of change. The event celebrated the social, economic, and political achievements of women while recognizing there is still much to do to advance women’s rights and empowerment.
As Women for Women International Ambassador and New York Times Best-selling author Marianne Williamson exclaimed, “[i]t is time for a great uprising. Let them call us bossy. Let’s do what we need to do to show our own courage.”
