Champa Patel is a Women for Women International's UK and International Board member.
Champa Patel is currently Executive Director, Governments and Policy for The Climate Group, focused on achieving net zero emissions as fast as possible, and ensuring prosperity for all.
Champa was formerly Director of Innovation at The Crisis Group, working on conflict prevention, mediation and resolution. Prior to this work, she was Director of the Asia-Pacific Programme at Chatham House managing policy research on the region. Before joining Chatham House she held several roles at Amnesty International, including as the Regional Director for the South Asia and South East Asia and Pacific Offices, and Global Director for Campaigns overseeing human rights research, advocacy and campaigns.
Prior to Amnesty she worked in public health for almost a decade, focused on children at risk, refugees, asylum seekers and internal trafficking. She is a board member for the Environmental Funders Network, Academy Faculty with Queen Elizabeth Leadership Academy at Chatham House, and on the Editorial Boards of Human Rights Quarterly and The International Journal of Climate Change: Impacts and Responses.
