Debra Bowers is the Deputy Vice President for Programs at Women for Women International.
In her role as Deputy Vice President of Global Programs for Women for Women International, Debra brings more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of humanitarian and development programming in conflict-affected settings since 1996, including Rwanda, South Sudan and Somalia among others, prior to moving to the U.S. to join WfWI. In line with her degree in International Relations and Development Economics, as well as her many years working in UNICEF country programs, Debra’s passion at WfWI continues to be focused on supporting those most affected by war, displacement and marginalization and on identifying local solutions to empower women and lift households out of poverty.
