Stephanie Wong serves as a Trustee for Women for Women International - UK and is a member of the Fundraising and Marketing Committee.
Most recently, Stephanie held the role of Advisor to the Chief Executive at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), a public agency tasked with attracting inward investment into Bahrain and supporting economic initiatives which enhance the Kingdom's investment climate. The EDB has increased economic competitiveness, raised productivity levels and focused on creating a more skilled local workforce. Before that she served as Executive Director, Global Marketing & Communications, where she built up a new department enabling Bahrain to communicate its story to the world. With the help of a team of highly talented Bahraini nationals and leading agency partners from around the world, Stephanie led efforts to communicate the Kingdom's position as a gateway to the Gulf Cooperation Council for foreign direct investors and policy makers.
Prior to this she was the UK CEO and Managing Partner of BBDO Consulting, part of the Omnicom Group. Stephanie also spent a number of years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in their Berlin and New Jersey offices.
Stephanie holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from UCLA, and an MBA in International Finance and Business from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She is married with four children, and in her free time enjoys playing tennis, practising yoga and studying preventative health care, child development and sustainable global development.
