WfWI’s Senior Director of Communications, Amber Khan, discusses how WfWI’s work among the most marginalized women in countries affected by conflict is helping close the global gender gap.
WfWI’s Senior Director of Communications, Amber Khan, recently sat down with Laura Trevelyan of BBC’s World News America as part of the show’s 100 Women: Half the World Speaks series. In this video, they discuss how WfWI’s work among the most marginalized women in countries affected by conflict is helping close the global gender gap. They also address how engaging men, and bringing women together to support one another are both critical to success in the fight for women’s equality and empowerment. “What we see making a tremendous impact,” Khan explains, “is when you create a space for women to come together to support each other, they find and tap into that resilience and that power – and that gives them hope.”
