In one of their latest episodes, Girl Talk Afrique Podcast featured a conversation with a member of our staff after stopping by Women for Women International's exhibition at the Women Deliver Conference in Kigali, Rwanda.
Our staff member discussed the significance of Women for Women International's (WfWI) exhibition, which showcased handcrafted items made by the women of the Urugo Women's Opportunity Center (WOC). The exhibition aimed to promote women's economic independence by highlighting the creativity of these women, and the skills they developed through their vocational training as program participants of Women for Women Rwanda, an independent sister organization. In addition to WfWI's work to support women's economic independence, the conversation also included our impactful work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where we are working alongside women who participate in our programming as they challenge traditional structures and use their learned rights to advocate for their right to own land.
