March 8th was officially declared International Women’s Day by the United Nations in 1977. Since then, it has developed to intersect with each major progressive movement around the world.
In the lead up to International Women’s Day 2021, Women for Women International is launching a new campaign, and we invite you to join us.
Regardless of the date, women should be celebrated and lifted up as the leaders of change around the world – because we are. We are mothers, daughters, and sisters... and we are activists, artists, teachers, presidents, and prime ministers... we are the collective force that powers this world.
