Solidarity Network

Women for Women International relies on our grassroots supporters to spark change. 

To help light that spark, we encourage our most dedicated champions to join our Solidarity Network. Community Leaders raise awareness and funds to support women survivors of war in transforming their lives, their families, and their communities. 

By joining our Solidarity Network, you will: 

• Be involved in programmatic strategy calls 

• Receive Women for Women International Event Planning toolkit and training 

• Receive leadership and community outreach guidance 

• Access to membership in a community of volunteers that stand shoulder to shoulder with one another, and with the women in our programs.

The cohort will begin September 2023 and end June 2024. We also welcome college students to apply for the fellowship.  

Please note, you must be a U.S. resident to apply. Preference will be given to current Women for Women International sponsors.   

Solidarity Network Fellowship

Are you a college student and a young leader who is ambitious and cares about women’s issues? Do you want to start creating change and taking action? Do you want to help us invest in some of the world’s most marginalized women?  

Your journey of creating change starts here. Apply to the Fellowship- Community Leader for Women for Women International’s new fellowship for college students. 

As a fellow, you will be expected to: 

• Host 2 fundraising events  
• Ex. Dinner, auction, sporting or virtual events
• Social media posts (1/wk, reposting on stories, share WfWI updates)  
• Network in your community
• Secure 2 new sponsors  
• Secure 2 people to apply for next cycle  
• Raise $500 by end of year  
• Knowledge of mission and programs  
• Commit to school year 

Your return on investment: 

• Resume-builder  
• Women for Women International Event Planning toolkit and training for  
• planning and hosting your own event  
• Leadership and community outreach guidance  
• Email/creative templates  
• Flyers to post around school/campus  
• Internship credit (if applicate and your responsibility to get correct paperwork) 
• Letter of recommendation at the end of service (if you successfully complete your yearlong commitment  
• WhatsApp group with other fellows and community leaders to receive check-ins and advice

Community Leaders 

Commit for a year to change lives – including yours. Bring your community together to support women survivors of war and learn concrete fundraising and organizing skills along the way! 

You will be expected to:

• Host 2 fundraising events  
• Ex. Dinner, auction, sporting or virtual events  
• Support WfWI social media campaigns 
• Network in your community 
• Bring in 5 new sponsors  
• Raise $1,000 by end of year  
• Have knowledge of mission and programs  
• Commit to 1 full year (September 2023 – September 2024)
